Bio
My primary research area is angiosperm systematics, the study of the phylogeny, diversity, and classification of flowering plants, with a secondary interest in ethnobotany, the study of direct interactions and relationships between plants and people. For most of my career, I have combined these interests in studies of the diversity, systematics, and evolution of cultivated and domesticated plants and their wild relatives.
